WELCOME!

The National Association of Presort Mailers is a trade association composed of individuals and firms concerned with the present and future of postal worksharing. It is also a professional association in that it includes individuals who have acquired knowledge and experience that qualifies them as specialists in performing mail-processing services. The primary purpose of the National Association of Presort Mailers (NAPM) is to:

  1. Represent the interests of all presort mailers.

  2. Improve communications between the US Postal Service and the presort mailing industry.

  3. Promote professional and ethical business practices among members.

  4. Develop and improve USPS worksharing programs to produce cost saving and service benefits to presort mailers and the USPS.

Our Association will continue to pursue those objectives related to mail presorting and prebarcoding which will benefit the membership and will convey our position on specific issues to the USPS management, the Postal Rate commission and to the appropriate members of Congress.

The NAPM was formally established on June 26, 1984.  Membership is open to major mailers and presort service bureaus. To date, member firms represent all ten postal areas and collectively process over 75 million pieces of mail daily in over 100 cities.

MEMBERSHIP
There are three classifications of membership: Presort, Vendor and Contributing. Presort members are major mailers and/or presort service bureaus.  Dues for Presort members are based on average daily volume. Vendors currently pay $5,000 or $1,000 per year depending on the amount of business they do with the presort mailing industry. Contributing members pay a minimum of $300.00/year. Join us now and help us enhance the worksharing programs with a strong and effective membership.

MEETINGS
The National Association of Presort Mailers meets at least twice a year to discuss issues and to elect the Board of Directors and officers.   Meetings are normally held in the early fall in conjunction with the fall National Postal Forum and in the winter at an appropriate location.
